1.4.4.6. Check axial люфта steering wheel

1. On the standing car, having established wheels in the provision of movement on a straight line, shake a wheel here and there with small effort. If люфт does not keep within the established norms, make repair.

Люфт a steering wheel – 0–30 mm.

Note: big total люфт points to wear of sharnirny connections or big люфт in the steering mechanism. Eliminate the found malfunctions.

2. Pull a steering wheel in all directions, as is shown in drawing 1.177, for detection of possible wear of the bearing of a steering column, люфта in connection of a steering shaft, weakening of fastening of a steering wheel and a steering column.
