On the car the usual scheme of gear shifting, as is shown in drawing (for 5 and 6-step transmissions) (fig. 1.152) is used.
At gear shifting completely press a coupling pedal. After transfer inclusion smoothly release a coupling pedal.
On the car with a 5-step transmission the safety device excludes casual inclusion of transfer of a backing of "R" from the situation "5" corresponding to the fifth transfer. to include transfer of a backing of "R", it is necessary to transfer the lever to neutral situation.
Cars with a 6-step transmission are equipped with the device preventing erroneous inclusion of transfer of a backing. Press the gear shifting lever vertically down and then transfer it to the situation "R".

Do not hold constantly a foot on a coupling pedal. Press a coupling pedal only at gear shifting. It is forbidden to hold the car from a skatyvaniye down on lifting at the expense of coupling slipping. Long or intensive slipping of coupling will result in premature wear of details and a coupling exit out of operation. Be convinced that the car is motionless before including backing transfer. Inclusion of transfer of a backing during movement of the car can lead to transmission breakage.

If transfer of a backing joins hardly, return the gear shifting lever to neutral situation and release a coupling pedal. Then try to include backing transfer once again.
