8.3.2. Windscreen installation

ATTENTION The windscreen can be established incorrectly if the sealant has damages or glass is pushed out by pressure of air during opening and closing of doors at the lifted opuskny glasses. Before the termination of an ustanvka of a windscreen leave all windows open.

Cut off an old sealant the razor so that the thickness of the remained layer of a sealant on perimeter of a frame made 1-2 mm (fig. 8.43).

If the sealant in any place completely separated from a body, put on this place after degreasing a quantity of a first coat and let's to it dry up in an iyecheniye about 30 minutes. After that put a sealant layer in thickness of 2 mm.

Clear and degrease a strip in width about 50 mm on perimeter of a windscreen and a contact surface on a body.

At installation of a reusable windscreen, execute the following procedure:

Attach pins in the places marked at removal (fig. 8.44).

Establish a windscreen fringing.

Put a first coat for glass on glass and a first coat for a body on a body and a fringing, let's to a first coat dry up within about 30 minutes.

ATTENTION Do not allow hit on contact surfaces of dirt and konsistentny greasing, do not concern contact surfaces. Otherwise, the first coat will not have sufficient adhesion to glass and body surfaces that can lead to a leak.

Put hermetic on a glass surface, as is shown in drawing 8.46.

Insert pins into a body, then establish a windscreen.

Press on windscreen pins that they entered into uvulas on a body.

Create pressure on glass perimeter so that the size of a gap of a ledge of a fringing of glass corresponded to norm (fig. 8.47).

Establish components as it should be, the return to removal

Give to hermetic completely полимеризоваться.

Time of complete polymerization of hermetic: 24 h.
